LUMS (Lahore University of Management Sciences) offered various scholarships to its students, including the Need-based Opportunity Programme (NOP) Scholarship. The NOP Scholarship is designed to provide financial assistance to students who demonstrate a need for it. It aims to make quality education accessible to deserving students regardless of their financial background.
How to Apply and Eligibility Criteria:
To apply for the National Outreach Programme (NOP) at LUMS, candidates must meet the following eligibility criteria:
1. Academic Excellence: Obtain at least 80% marks in Matric or equivalent in O-Levels.
2. Financial Need: Demonstrate financial need.

Candidates meeting these criteria will be shortlisted and invited to participate in the NOP Summer Coaching Session. During this session, students undergo various exercises and tests to evaluate their potential. Following the coaching session, students are registered for the entrance test, fully funded by LUMS.
Successful candidates who apply to LUMS and qualify based on merit are offered admission on a full scholarship.
All applicants, whether applying directly or through the NOP programme, are assessed based on the same admission criteria. Additionally, a review committee ensures transparency in the scholarship awarding process annually during a student's tenure.
Application Process:
1. NOP Outreach: The NOP team conducts presentations in schools/colleges across Pakistan to inform students about the programme.
2. Application Submission: Students apply for the NOP Summer Coaching Session directly to LUMS. Shortlisted candidates are invited to experience university life during the summer at LUMS.
3. Scholarship Application: Aspiring NOP scholars apply for admission to LUMS alongside regular students.
4. Admission Test: LUMS funds the admission test for all candidates.
5. Scholarship Award: Admitted students, based on financial need assessment, are granted fully-funded scholarships for undergraduate programmes.
